Conquest is a game of strategy where you must build your economy, take land, and attack your opponents to conquer the entire map. It was inspired by Antiyoy, another territory conquest game. Conquest features complex and strategic gameplay with continuous action (not turn-based) and a combination of land and naval warfare. Every game takes place on a randomly generated map, forcing players to adapt their strategy to new situations.

Instructions to play:

Your color is green, neutral territory is gray, and blue is ocean. All other colors are programmed opponents. Your income determines how fast you will gain money, and is displayed in the top right. Money is also displayed in the top right, and is required to buy soldiers and other units.

Place down soldiers (white circles) to capture territory. You can place them directly onto tiles neighboring your color, and can move them by clicking on them and clicking on a nearby tile. They will get a highlight around them when ready to move again. Click the soldier button multiple times to access higher level soldiers. Soldiers defend neighboring tiles against other soldiers of equal or lesser rank, and higher level soldiers will kill lower level ones.

Place ships to help your soldiers cross water. You can place a ship next to your territory, then place a soldier in it. When the soldier is ready to move, you can move the ship up to 4 tiles away. Moving your ship onto an opponent’s ship will attack it, and higher level ships will destroy lower level ships.

Place farms (white squares) to boost your economy. Farms and territory increase your income, while soldiers, towers, and ships reduce it. If your income becomes negative, your soldiers and ships will die when money runs out.

Place towers to defend neighboring tiles from soldiers. They can only be defeated by soldiers two or more levels higher. Walls are another form of protection, and can be placed on the edges of tiles.
